Does it matter or have you been duped before?

i haven't done specific online dating websites, but i know on another website im on all you normally see are avatars of the person's face.  well, we had a thread for full body shots.

it was very eye-opening.  a lot can be hidden with a head shot.

Mass:  Full disclosure is best.  If the body is going to be an issue...better to know that sooner vs. later.

I don't think it matters.  Maybe a nice face shot .. But, until you actually see that person face to face .. then you can determine or not if the picture really was that actual person.  some people post pictures from 2 - 3 years ago .. lol

I think it definitely matters. I've dated online before and never understood why people would only show a driver's license picture or some photo obviously years old. It says a lot about someone afraid to show themselves. Some even post no photo.

Good Morning...
It's called online dating for a reason, if you are on a website looking for a potential, then YES, no fake photo's allowed. However, if it's just a website for dialogue talk "who cares"...

Ok Trav...lol.  I was new to the net and trying to go where black folks were hanging out. After getting familiar with this one site and folks on it, I end up chatting with this one sista who lives in my area.  She post this really sexy and glamour shot of her face, and she told me that she was shapely, athletic, etc.  We exchanged numbers and she wanted to meet me the next time I go home to Norfolk, in which I go about every 60 days or so anyway.

I had an "escape" plan just in case.  We had plans of meeting in Hampton Va at this chain resturaunt, but as I was waiting for her arrival, she pulls up beside me.

When she got out, I almost past out, because she had all these open sores all over all her exposed skin... arms, neck, face, head, etc.  I mean covered with dime size recent sores and some scabbed over...like a Dalmation.

I told her that my friend had called me about 15 minutes ago because he was about to take his last load of furniture from his old home to his new home that I have never been to.  I had to catch him and follow him before they left... my escape plan...just in case...lol.

Do you know that sista blew up my phone for the next three weeks.
