Can I Get Some Buns For Some Fries?

Ok I was on Facebook and I saw where this beautiful woman had said all the nice things that this man was doing for her in her updates. As she commented on these things her friends responded with quips saying stuff like "Don't be so easily impressed. Be tough!"

Then a male friend of hers countered with "don't be tough...be thankful...be sincere...and if you are warm and inviting...he will melt!

The female responds back "Be tough...you know what I am talking about!"

After getting a grasp of what the sister was talking about being tough about the male recanted his statement to which the person that they were talking to said "I know but girl it has been so long!"

Well by now I am sure we all know what she was talking about. The question is and always will be "Did I make it too easy?" I wrote a blog some time ago http://www.flaglerhill.com/blog/BEASTFRMVA/sex-when-is-it-right-t-m-e-.php and it focused on when is the right time for giving up the buns? I don't necessarily know the appropriate answer to this question but what I do know is that given the right timing mood and emotion anything can happen. The only thing that can change that is the morals or higher standards you may hold yourself accountable to.

Now true indeed the brother had taken this woman skating, brought her roses and cooked dinner for her. Yes the dinner was good! But does that mean he is now entitled to her yearning loins or should the sister hold out? This was by her indications, their first date. Please don't get me wrong, I often times prefer to get it on the first date but how do we feel afterwards?

I will clue everyone into a little known fact and this goes for both sexes: If you can have an enjoyable, invigorating date without even putting yourself in the position to try to have sex then...trust me you will appreciate all that comes in the future. Truth of the matter is that most relationships that are at first based on sex will not last as sex can be found anywhere! Yet a good time based on personality and the way you click is a rarity! Try is sometime and you will know just who to appreciate and who you are just making wait!

Bro this is exactly how I feel. Unfortunately good conversation is hard to find, but good ussy isn't. Clicking with the mental....priceless.

Beast:  Tell if brotha!  There is no such thing as THE right time...it happens when it happens...and let the chips fall where they may.

@Dark:  Unfortunately stimulating conversation is hard to find, but a good power tool isn't. Clicking with the mental....priceless. (Smile)

I have been meeting more people with more substance...problem is it seems to never last long!

@ Beast, I think that men have played on the emotions of women for soo long to get what they want (sex), that when a geniune brotha comes along its hard to tell if its just part of the game. I agree with Dashon, powertools are unlimited, but if it comes with good conversation and is genuine in the pursuit of you and not IT then maybe its a keeper.
Getting it on, on the first date could be why it doesn't last long for you! I believe the more you know a person and have connected in such a way, once intimacy begins it will be FIREWORKS!

I understand what you are saying. I've been there. Sometimes it makes you wonder what attracted you to the person in the first. It starts out great and then you have that weird or odd conversation, or they doing something that totally turns you off -- and then you just say, forget this.

I agree there is no perfect time to have sex. If the person has all of the qualities that you are looking for then the qualities will still be there regardless if you have sex on the first date or not.
There has been so many ppl in relationships that spend all this time getting to know each other, then find out that the sex is not all that. Then they are disappointed. So they have just wasted their time.

MzSasha I've hear comments like that all the time, but have never experienced sex that was so bad it negated all her positive qualities and the solid relationship we had established. I always believed if she's willing to learn and explore, you can build that chemistry. It may take time, but if you're trying to build a life together, what's the rush?

@Soul:
  With a guy it can be a different story...sometimes even a guy with good intentions and a willingness to "learn & explore" is still lacking in ways that make a positive sexual experience impossible.  I'm just saying....
